It’s time to get excited for football again and begin researching the top 2023 football rookie football cards to watch. With the 2023 NFL Draft underway, we are one step closer to the start of football season. Not only is there buffalo wings, beer, and tailgating right around the corner, but there also will be new rookie cards to collect, trade, and sell.
There are so many talented new rookies coming out of the draft, but here are the top 5 rookies that we think will have the most valuable cards.
Table of Contents
Bryce Young | Quarterback | Carolina Panthers
Come on, of course we are starting with the first pick of the draft. There are only a few things that are certain in this world — death, taxes, and an Alabama QB being drafted early on.
Winning has been no stranger to Bryce Young as he has made his journey to the Carolina Panthers. In his senior year of high school, Young received many accolades. Bryce was named Gatorade Player of the Year in California and High School Quarterback of the Year by the National Quarterback Club. He equally was recognized as the Maxwell Offensive Player of the Year, and co-MaxPreps Player of the Year (he shared this award with another quarterback). His success didn’t stop at high school, here are his stats from his three years at Alabama.
Bryce Young will be one of the leading 2023 football draft rookie cards to chase.

C.J. Stroud | Quarterback | Houston Texans
Despite criticism over test scores, the Houston Texans recognize immense value in the Ohio State Buckeyes quarterback C.J. Stroud. Taken with the second overall pick, Stroud finds himself entering a Texans locker room that is in desperate need of offensive weaponry. Damien Pierce is a formidable building block, but the team needs to be more successful in this league as they rebuild. And a first round quarterback is a good “chunk play” down the field towards future success.

Anthony Richardson | Quarterback | Indianapolis Colts
With the not so surprising release of Matt Ryan(eBay), the Colts needed to use their first round pick on a quarterback. Weapons like Michael Pittman and Jonathan Taylor wont be around forever. Paired with a solid offensive line and strong defense, a quarterback is all they need to remain competitive and potentially even win their division.

Passing Yards: 3,105

Bijan Robinson | Running Back | Atlanta Falcons
Joining an already stacked locker room of young talent, Bijan Robinson adds depth to an already explosive Falcons run game. Paired up with Desmond Ridder, Kyle Pitts, and Drake London, the Falcons could develop into one of the league’s best offenses.

Scrimmage Yards: 4,215
Touchdowns: 41
Average Yards Per Play: 7.0
Will Levis | Quarterback | Tennessee Titans
At the time of writing this, Will Levis has yet to be drafted. This comes as a surprise because although there are other quarterbacks that are assumed to be better candidates, it seemed implausible that Levis would be left off the board through the entire first round. Plenty of teams had him come for private workouts, so the fact that he went undrafted Day one of the draft is surprising.
